An Adventurous Wedding!

This couple decided to marry in Victoria on the Puffing Billy Steam Train. As a surprise for the 20 overseas guests coming from overseas the couple decided to organize an unexpected show as part of their wedding celebrations.

The couple celebrated their marriage at Ferny Creek, and after which the guests and the newly married couple boarded the train to be given hors d'oeuvres by the train driver and the train conductor.

Suddenly, terrifyingly a band of bush rangers rode over the hill, held up the train and proceeded to carry off a screaming guest. The unfortunate guest was then tied to a tree while from one of the train windows a mad Irish woman was calling out to them to take her too. The British red coats - soldiers - appeared also on horseback, to chase away the bush rangers and rescue the guest.

After all this drama the train puffed its way up to a bridge where it stopped. The groom carried his bride across the bridge to the cheers of the guests and members of the relieved public.

The Reception took place at the end of the line, where once again the conductor and the engine driver served the food and drinks. It was a great party which of course ended on time as the train had to stay with its timetable.

The verdict of the guests heaps of fun and a credit to the steam train society who were all part of the proceedings.

Now should you wish to try and find any of the paraphanalia that would have been used by the historical society to create the backdrop to the bushranger themed wedding a good place to go would be to ebay - so if you are interested just click the article header and for your ease it will take you straight there!
